The prix fixe meal was worth the price, however it doesn't come with the best dish that we had there, the whipped ricotta toast. I still think about that toast... Everything else was yummy but nothing that you couldn't find at another restaurant.

We made a reservation for 5:30pm when they opened were seated promptly. The interior is casual and quickly filled up as we were there. The tables are fairly close together. We did the EP tasting menu which is $49 for five courses. This turned out to be the right choice because the lil' baby kale salad was amazing! The broccolini and ricotta toast looked good, but nothing special and we were stuffed after the five courses. Our ratings for the night: Lil Baby Kale Salad (9/10) - Super flavorful, loved the dressing and the candied nuts! Great mix of flavors. Nowon Fried Chicken (10/10) - Amazing fried chicken, great mix of tender and crispy and good flavor. Chopped Cheese Rice Cake (8/10) - Sauce was delicious, personally don't enjoy rice cake texture much. My friend said the cheese tasted fake. Honey Garlic Butter Tots (9/10) - Tater tots were super crispy, great mix of sweet and savory. Legendary Cheeseburger (7/10) - Fine, but wouldn't order again. The meat could have been more juicy, but enjoyed the sauce. Super affordable tasting menu which was definitely worth the price. Would come back for the friend chicken and honey garlic butter tots!

First, the food is delicious. I would highly recommend trying the tasting menu for during your first visit. This allows you to determine your favorite. Very intimate spot and the wait staff was really kind and attentive. This place is really popular so they will remind you of the time limit on the table, but they were respectful. My favorites were the burger and the chopped cheese rice cakes. The drinks were ok, but I would grab drinks elsewhere

Best Korean pocha in NYC! We opted for the E.P. course, which was worth the $39 per person. Everything tasted great and our server was kind enough to let us swap the spicy gochujang flavor for soy garlic (which we highly recommend doing!!). I was a bit nervous about the chopped cheese rice cakes, but it surprising worked! They give nice portions, so come with an empty stomach. Seating is very limited so we also recommend getting reservations (which itself can also be difficult to get). The place is quaint and vibrant, but creates a super warm and intimate setting. Can't wait to go back and try their bigger course menu!

I came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday on a Tuesday night. I made reservations on Resy earlier that morning and they had a few openings for the early evening and then were booked until 9 PM. I snagged the 9 PM reservation. We arrived about 45 minutes earlier and they were kind enough to seat us after about 15 minutes. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing. It has a trendy grunge vibe with disco balls hanging and hip hop playing in the background. The vibe was low key and chill. The seating is a bit tight as the restaurant is small but not uncomfortable. There's only one bathroom, which was decorated with another disco ball and plastered with pictures of hiphop icons. The menu is a modern twist on Korean dishes and the drink menu had a large selection. My boyfriend saw the EP menu and lost his mind... needless to say we ordered the EP. The EP included dishes to share 1) Lil Baby Kale Salad 2) Spicy Gochujang Nowon Fried Chicken 3) "Chopped Cheese" Rice Cakes 4) Honey Butter Extraordinary Tots 5) 1/2 Legendary Burger The lil baby kale salad was absolutely delicious the dressing was amazing and it had candied walnuts. 5/5 The Spicy Gochujang Nowon Fried Chicken was probably my least favorite, it was favorable but I wasn't a fan of the texture and it was a little dry 3/5. The "Chopped Cheese" Rice Cakes .... WOW! These were my favorite!!! The texture of the rice cake was gummy and delicious and you could really taste the chopped cheese. The flavors just exploded in your mouth with each bite 10/5 The Honey Butter Extraordinary Tots were also another one of my favorites... like the tater tots you ate as a kid but better the honey butter was delicious and creamy. 6/5 The 1/2 Legendary Burger was extremely delicious, bursting with Korean spices and was so juicy but didn't leave you work that greasy/heavy feeling you have after eating a burger 5/5. To drink I had the Open Sesame, which is a twist on an espresso martini. It wasn't the best espresso martini I've had and I don't think I would get it again 2/5. My boyfriend had the Eazy E and said it was amazing 6/5. The food was amazing and the portions were decent. The only thing that threw me off was how fast the dishes came out. We weren't able to fully enjoy a dish before another one was rushed out. It wasn't enough time between dishes brought to the table, which made me feel anxious and a bit rushed. That aspect is what truly stopped me from giving Nowon 5 stars. However, one thing I thought was super sweet was that I mentioned in passing to our sever that it was my boyfriend's birthday and without a second thought she brought him out a sparkler with a dessert that was similar to a whoppi pie. That definitely improved our experience. Overall this is an amazing spot and we will definitely be back, we just won't be ordering the EP again.

Tried the Legendary Cheeseburger and wasn't disappointed. The double smash burger with cheese, pickles, and sauce was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My only feedback would be I barely noticed the kimchi and had I not known there was kimchi in it I would have assumed it didn't. The tots (honey garlic) were just ok - too much sauce, not enough tot. Inside is small and loud but there are a few outdoor tables. The outdoor shed is my preferred place to sit as the seating has backs (the other outdoor tables have stools). Reservations required.

From what many seated near us were saying, this places seems to be hit or miss. Love the food concepts but execution was a little all over the place. That being said the service was phenomenal. They were a full house by the time we were ready to order but staff checks in regularly and brings food out as it's ready. Seating is a bit tight and also hampers on being able to order multiple things to try given limited table real estate. This was not helped with the fact we ordered a soju flight. The flight itself was great, but wish it came chilled as the stronger options are not easy to sip neat. A table near us had done the tasting menu. For the price, the portions seemed fairly small. It definitely allows you to try multiple dishes but I recommend just picking out a few things a la carte that you are actually in to. You end up paying similar, just with more flexibility.

INCREDIBLE FOOD! When you hear reviews of "the best burger in NYC" you can't help but think "yeah right " but it was outstanding and worth the rave. As a celiac, I emailed the restaurant beforehand and they sent me a list of their gluten free options. Gluten Free Options - burger with GF bun - Nowon fried chicken with no sauces (ask for the burger sauce instead on the side) - Chopped cheese rice cakes with no bread crumbs - rice cakes al limone - salad no croutons - brocolini no breadcrumbs - black sesame crembrule For 2 people, we ordered a burger each, the chopped cheese rice cakes (basically a deconstructed burger - incredible), Nowon fried chicken. We also got the honey garlic tater tots (I'd skip these as they were wayyyy too sweet and tasted more like dessert). Highly recommend! We also sat at the bar and it was SUCH a vibe with great service.
